Basil pizza and pasta was established in November 2006 with the intention of creating a wide range of delicious pizzas and meals that are suited the diverse feel of Newtown and surrounding suburbs. We cater to our eclectic customer base by offering a fantastic selection of meat and vegetarian pizzas and pastas as well as offering true vegan pizzas. We also now offer gluten free pizzas.

Sorry for such low photo quality. My camera broke on my trip to Sydney (!!) and I had to resort to using a disposable one. At any rate, we ordered the "Vegan Lover's Pizza" and love it, we did. (They use Cheezly brand soy cheese.)
Note that Basil serves pizza by night, but during the day serves veg-friendly brunch. During the day they're called Naked Espresso.
